100min – Theatre
“A staged-reading of a new play by John Patrick Bray directed by Jake Hunsbusher”
Saturday Oct 20
5:30 ~ 7:00 @ UGA FINE ARTS BUILDING ROOM #400
AUTHOR/PLAYWRIGHT/ORIGINATOR: John Patrick Bray
PRODUCTION COMPANY: Athens Playwrights’ Workshop
FULL DESCRIPTION: In this staged reading of a new play by John Patrick Bray and directed by Jake Hunsbusher, we’ll meet a bunch of 1990s misfits hanging out by the Hudson River in upstate, New York. They’re dealing with a lot: opioids; the economic fallout of NAFTA and IBM; and AmTrain’s plan to block off their access to the river by putting a fence all along the tracks. A fairytale for grown-ups, Tracks explores the ways in which myths are created by how life’s passengers view others through the windows of a moving train.
MORE INFO: APW’s members include actors, writers, and directors from the UGA community and community at large. Bray’s works have been produced all over the country.
