Thanks Athens!!! See you next year…

After such an amazing event last weekend, everyone here at the Classic City Fringe Festival would like to say: Thanks ATHENS!!!, because from what was experienced at this year’s event we can say for certainty that the Athens fringe community is growing ever stronger year after year, and we are humbled by the fact that our festival has had even a small part in uniting, inspiring and celebrating this wonderful community of outstanding fringe performance artists!

We’d like to thank all our performers for their wonderful performances: The Black Light Theatre Company, Callous Physical Theater (Tallahassee FL), The Story Bitches (Cleveland GA), Johnson & Browder Productions (Rome GA), Chetter the Storyteller (ATL), The Badass Storytelling Quartet (Lawrenceville GA), Athens Playwrights’ Workshop, Cynthia Rintye (ATL), Lypsis the Angel (Charlottesville VA), The Milyssa Rose Show (Marietta GA), U.S. Nero (New Orleans LA), Feelings Are Real, Tomato Jake (Lancaster PA), End The Sun (Augusta GA), Betty Hoop, dok V (Macon GA), Peaches N Cream, The Margins, and Jeffery Williams. We will keep each of these performers Profile Pages up and available through out the year until next year’s performers apply so that everyone can find more information about each performer and their performances including links to where you can find out about current appearances.

Fred’s Historic Properties

Of course none of this would be possible without our festival sponsors!!! Thanks to Fred’s Historic Properties for opening up their empty storefront location (aka the former Lazy Shopper location which we converted into the Fringe Pop-Up Theater) so that we could host performances in our own pop-up theater! Everyone working for Fred’s Historic Properties was super nice and was willing to work with us (even as a hard working volunteer staff members for the fest) to make it all happen! Thanks, We couldn’t have done it without YOU!

Also thanks goes out to our newest venue sponsor Pixel & Ink (via the Trio Gallery) who opened up their gallery to host one of our biggest showcases of the festival! Plus the returning venue sponsors who have helped us each and every year since we’ve started: Flicker Theater & Bar, The World Famous, JOKER JOKER Gallery, and of course Mellow Mushroom who not only provided a space to host shows but also sponsored our CCFF Meet & Greet night with FREE pizza! Also we don’t want to forget Zombie Coffee & Donuts and The Law Offices of Eric Krasle, Thank you for everything you do for our artists!

And finally we would like to give a warm and fuzzy shout out to all of our Volunteer Staff, without all of you we would have been overwhelmed and lost! Thanks: Kari Bjork, Marlene Koncewicz, Van Beville, Jessi Roman, Morgan Chandler, Joe Roman, Lisa Hatch, Erica Colquitt, Ernie LoBue, Rick Schott, Daryl North, Dawn Cronk, Kathy Manzella, and Erin Lknd!!

Well that’s it for CCFF 2017, we will be up and running with planning next year’s festival after the new year. If you would like to be on top of things we encourage you to sign up for our CCFF Newsletter (see “Get New Posts by Email”) to get updates before anyone else.

See everyone next year!!!
